Alison Meredith is passionate about helping families and communities make math fun, meaningful, and approachable. She is preparing to release her new book, I Hate Math!: Engaging Lessons & Activities to Help Kids & Teens Love Math (A Guide for Parents and Teachers). This project, and the nonprofit it supports - Pi Day Party.org - equips parents, educators, and community leaders to spark joy in math through games, stories, and creative activities, encouraging kids to celebrate math instead of just surviving it.
She is a gifted communicator who makes complex topics practical and inspiring, helping parents and teachers equip kids for success in math while rediscovering the joy of learning themselves.
Here’s what I bring to the table:
I’ll help you figure out whether home-education is working and how to become a better teacher.
I’ll guide you to evaluate which curriculums best match your teaching style and your children’s learning styles.
I’ll help you find supportive groups, mentors, or partners and assess the effectiveness of local teaching groups.
If you lean toward a private school, I’ll assist you to compare options based on your values, so you make a decision you feel good about.
I’ll provide practical strategies for teaching your children self-management, contribution, and responsibility in daily life.
And finally…
I would be delighted to have a Zoom call with you to help you figure this out!
